Those who are in the electrical trade will know that the Inspection and Testing course used to be known as the 2391. It changed in 2012 to two qualifications; 2394 (initial inspection, verification and certification of new electrical installations) and 2395 (periodic inspection, verification and certification of existing electrical installations).
City and Guilds are now replacing 2394/2395 with a new version of 2391; (Initial – 2391-50, Periodic 2391-51 and the combination of both of these qualifications will be known as 2391-52).

Although there are no pre-entry requirements for this electrical course, it is expected that candidates have a basic knowledge and understanding of electrical science and principles, and experience of electrical installation work. We would strongly recommend that candidates would have previously undertaken City and Guilds 2382: 17th Edition Wiring Regulations course.
